Great as both a body soap and shampoo, Pine tar soap has many great qualities. People with dry, sensitive skin, psoriasis, eczema and many other dry or inflamed skin afflictions will appreciate the relief they often get when using this soap. Pine tar helps with dandruff on both head and facial hair.
Pine tar has been used in medicine for more than 2000 years to treat a range of skin conditions because of its soothing and antiseptic properties. It is also known to be anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory which is why it helps with such a wide variety of skin ailments. In addition, pine tar has been shown to be antipruritic, anti‐inflammatory, antibacterial and antifungal. These properties make pine tar suitable for the topical treatment of eczema, psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis and other dry, itchy, flaky or inflamed skin conditions. Modern day pine tar is manufactured with increased purity to eliminate toxic phenol and carcinogenic components which have been of concern in the past.
Our Pine Tar cold process soap is made using a combination of Pure Lard, Coconut oil, Olive oil, Sunflower oil, 15% Pine Tar, and our Essential oil blend. No harsh chemical detergents.
Our soaps are cured for 4-6 weeks minimum to fully saponify and harden giving you a long lasting, great smelling bar of real soap. Each bar is cut at between 4.5 and 5 oz.
Due to the handmade nature of this soap color variation may differ slightly from photos. Allowing your soap to dry between uses will lengthen the life of your bar.
